In the recent world of postponed weddings, closed borders, and so much uncertainty, planning a big celebration may seem unnecessary for some couples. When faced with the challenges many of us have had to face this past year and a half, it is no wonder some couples are choosing to skip the wedding planning process and simply elope.

As with any decision, there are both pros and cons to choosing this type of marriage ceremony.

On the con side, you may:

  • Be presented with less options to make your wedding unique and specific to you

  • Your loved ones may feel excluded

However, on the pro side:

  • Eloping often saves couples money

  • You can create a more intimate atmosphere for you and your partner

  • You can get married anywhere!
